2ping software package provides Ping utility to determine directional packet loss, you can install in your Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install 2ping
2ping is installed in your system.
Make ensure the 2ping package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep 2ping *
You will get with 2ping package name, version, architecture and description in a table
